2006 Ladybirds' Christmas (light design)
|
Lepatriinude Jõulud (Ladybirds' Christmas) was originally a hugely successful animated film by Janno Põldma and Heiki Ernits. In 2006, the same story was decided to stage in the Puppet Theatre as a christmas piece. With Janno as the director and Heiki as the designer, this complicated story with 6 acts (and utopical stage changes) in 30 minutes became reality. As the scenery was not completed until the very last week of the rehearsals, the light plot was born quite on its own. It ended up as a dusty-indoor-gobo-profile set (thanks to the massive stage design the acting areas were quite limited) with all possible gobos I could dig up from the theatre shelves. The play was on 4-5 times a day during December, altogether played about 85 times. Directed by Janno Põldma Set, puppet and and costume design: Heiki Ernits Cast: the whole Puppet theatre crew |
